The teachers have a responsibility to protect their students in and out of the classroom. In the bus, kids need a much keen supervision so as to ensure their safety.
- Never leave little kids to walk on their own to and from the bus; always take them by the hand when they get on or off the bus and deliver them home safely.
- Do not overload the bus with small passengers, and where seat belts are provided, ensure all the kids use them.
- Do not allow the kids to put their hands, faces or bodies out of the windows.
- Kids should be taught not to stand up while the bus is in motion, as doing so may put them at risk of sustaining injuries.
- Kids must be encouraged to obey the bus driver’s instructions and avoid distracting him while driving.
- Kids should never be transported by bus without minders to watch over them and care for them.
